The Cayucos Small Scale Neighborhood Guidelines, coupled with the typical compact beach community building sites, can appear limiting to homeowners looking to build their dreamhome, or remodel their existing home.

I have successfully designed within these guidelines since their inception in the early 1990's. Incorporating the building site's challenges, and assets, I design homes that take advantage of the site's best features while encompassing every possible "must have" the homeowner requests. Using every bit of allowable square footage, even in the Small Scale neighborhoods my clients can enjoy a small home that "lives large".
